ADHYAYANOTSAVAMS BEGINS IN TIRUMALA




The 25-day annual ‘Adhyayanotsavams’ festival began at Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala from December 31 and will conclude with ‘Tanniramudu’ festival on 2014 January 25.

Vedic pundits will recite 4,000 ‘pasurams’ from ‘Alwar Divya prabandham’ inside the hill temple.

While the first 11 days are known as “Pagalpattu” and the next ten days are called “Rapattu”. On 22nd Day “Kanninun Siruttambu”, on 23rd Day  ‘Ramanuja Nutrandadi’ followed by‘Varaha Swamy sattumurai’ on 24th day and will be conducted with “Tanniramudu” festival on the final day of the festival.
