Tirupati Govindarajaswamy temple

I and my uncle left for tirupati to attend kalyanotsavam seva. we had booked our seva tickets and accomodation tickets online at http://www.ttdsevaonline.com/ . we left by Mysore-Tirupati express from bangalore and reached tirupati at 5:54am next day. We took  room for 1hr in the nearby lodge to refresh ourself and the charges were nominal 100 for 1hr. We left to Govindarajapatnam which is very close to the tirupati railway station. Saint Ramanujacharya consecrated the temple in 1130 AD.

The festivals and functions are similar to those conducted in the Sri Venkateswara temple. The annual Brahmotsavam at this temple is celebrated in the month of Vaisakha every year. The annual float festival is also celebrated every year.

The sub-temples in its premises are:

  • Sri Kalyana Venkateswaraswami Temple
  • Sri Andal Temple
  • Sri Salai Nachiyar Ammavari Temple
  • Sri Ramanuja Temple

  • Sri Anjaneyaswami Temple(Near outer Bugga).
  • Sri Nammalwar Temple.
  • Sri Sanjeevarayaswami Temple (opposite the Hathiramjee Mutt)

There was no crowd and we had a nice darshan and we were offered sweet pongal as prasadam. Then we left to Srinivasa mangapuram by bus.
