உன் மீது பற்று கொண்ட எங்களுக்கு மற்ற பொருள்கள் மீது இச்சை ஏற்படாமல் காப்பாயாக!
மலயமாருதம் ராகம், ஆதி தாளம்.
சிற்றம் சிறுகாலே வந்துன்னைச் சேவித்துன்
பொற்றா மரையடியே போற்றும் பொருள் கேளாய்;
பெற்றம் மேய்த்துண்ணும் குலத்திற் பிறந்து நீ
குற்றேவல் எங்களைக் கொள்ளாமல் போகாது;
இற்றைப் பறைகொள்வான் அன்று காண் கோவிந்தா!
எற்றைக்கும் ஏழேழ் பிறவிக்கும் உன்தன்னோடு
உற்றோமே ஆவோம்; உனக்கே நா மாட்செய்வோம்;
மற்றைநம் காமங்கள் மாற்றேலோ ரெம்பாவாய்.
//மிக அதிகாலையில் வந்து உன்னை சேவித்து தாமரை போன்ற
உன் திருவடிகளைப் துதிக்கும் காரணத்தைக் கேட்டுக் கொள்!
பசுக்களை மேய்த்து, ஜீவனம் செய்யும் ஆயர்குலத்தில் பிறந்த நீ
எங்களிடமிருந்து சிறு கைங்கரியமாவது பெற்றுக் கொள்ளாமல் செல்வது கூடாது.
நாங்கள் விரும்பியவற்றைப் பெற்றவுடன், உன்னை விட்டு அகல நாங்கள் இங்கு வரவில்லை.
ஏழேழு ஜன்மத்துக்கும் உன்னுடன் சேர்ந்தவர்களாகவே இருப்போம்.
உனக்கே நாங்கள் பணி செய்து கிடப்போம்;
மற்ற எங்கள் ஆசைகளை அகற்றி அருளவேண்டும்.//

Govinda! In the wee hours of morning we have come to worship you
and praise your golden lotus-feet;
Pray hear our purpose. You were born in the cow-herd clan, now
you cannot refuse to accept our service to you.
Know that these goods are not what we came for.
Through seven lives and forever we would like to close to you
and serve you alone. And if our desires be different, you
must change them
[ Picture shows - Krishna the cowherd yourth is also vishnu the lord of the universe. His relationship with the cowherd girls in the Avatara state cannot become vitiated in his exalted state. It is for the affirmation of this eternal bond between the oul and the oversoul, that Andal pleads, not the other desires and its pecuniary benefits.
