I thought this information might help those planning for trip to Badrinath. I recently booked for pooja at Badrinath in September and this is the procedure.
Contact pramod@badarikedar.org for dates and pujas before sending DD (Sh. Pramod Nautiyal) - availability of the puja & other details.
The details of pooja's are enclosed with this mail. Some information about poojas: Both Mahabhishek and Abhishek puja are same. The difference between Ghrit Kambal Ghee & Ghee for closing day is that in Ghrit Kambal Ghee the ghee is used in the Kambal (Blanket made by the unmarried girls of the Mana Village) which is used to cover the idol of Lord Badrinath on the closing day & in ghee for closing day the ghee is used to lit the diya of the Garbha Graha which is also known as Akhand Jyoti.
The DD for booking pujas at Badrinathji which will be made in favor of CEO, Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temples Committee & will be payable at SBI, Joshimath Branch. The branch code of SBI, Joshimath is 06170 & the DD for booking pujas at Kedarnathji will be made in favor of CEO, Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temples Committee & will be payable at SBI, Ukhimath Branch. The branch code of SBI, Ukhimath is 02498.
The DD alongwith a puja booking request letter mentioning ur complete postal address should be send to the following address:-

Maa Chandra Badni Temple, Near Kargi Chowk & Oberoi Nissan Motors, Kargi Grant, Haridwar By-pass road, Dehradun-248001, Uttarakhand.
After receiving the DD the puja will be formally booked & the confirmation letter will be send to u thru e-mail. Send the DD in 1-2 working days thru Blue Dart/ DTDC Plus courier only. After making the DD mail them the scan copy of DD. For ur convenience also keep the copy of the DD with u.
